TSL Fine Art Doors

Side A Painting

Installed this double sided functional fine art door (there is a different painting on reverse side) Saturday evening at Markay Gallery  My husband and I enjoyed our time with gallery owner Amber Byrd and her charming husband Sean, who were curating the gallery's first anniversary this Friday! Amber and I have worked previously on an exciting commercial project featuring three original functional art doors, and look forward to offering original fine art doors now for residential, corporate and public spaces!

Totally thrilled to to offer something unique for collectors and builders of discerning spaces!

Little oil studies-

Is the spring coming?" he said. "What is it like?"...
"It is the sun shining on the rain and the rain falling on the sunshine...”
Frances Hodgson Burnett, The Secret Garden

Three oil studies completed in early March in the floorboard of my auto; please excuse the one visually elongated from the camera's vantage point in response to the painting's propped up and angled position.  These studies are all dramatically different in style, I enjoyed the challenge of all three.  The two small ones are available through
Markay Gallery

Someone has the summertime blues...

 Sold

36x24 a/c/  Available through Markay Gallery

Below is the second of Jane Kenyon's "Three Songs at the End of Summer,"
which most resonates with me as I adore summertime and am always deflated at its passing!  But thankful for every day of life and its glory, I will look forward to summer next.
For those who love autumn and winter, your joy is full, and joy is always a good thing.  Again, from Jane Kenyon, “Three Songs at the End of Summer” from Collected Poems.

"The cicada’s dry monotony breaks
over me. The days are bright
and free, bright and free.

Then why did I cry today
for an hour, with my whole
body, the way babies cry?"

Nestled behind behind the Marietta Cobb Museum of Art in Marietta, GA, Markey Gallery will be opening its doors with its Grand Opening on July 7th.  Its owner and director, Amber Byrd, is a savvy young entrepreneur who has been on the art scene in Marietta and Atlanta for some time.

I met Amber a few years back when represented at the ever popular dk Gallery.  Amber was an assistant there at the time, and her picturesque stance, genteel nature and smile were infectious; visitors, artists, and clientele gravitated toward her like moths to a light!  Amber's continued and steadfast involvement in the arts scene as an ambitious promoter and publication writer/photographer, and work as an artist representative continued to garner her great respect in the community. I look forward to seeing her gallery come into its own over the coming months, and working with her as an artist represented by the gallery.

Thank you for visiting my blog, additional information regarding art works may be found HERE.
