Words from Amy C. Cosper

"Nothing can prepare you for the moment when you have nothing, especially if you've had everything before.  Maybe, even, everything you ever dreamed of."  ~ Amy C. Cosper

Entrepreneur magazine's Editor and Chief Amy C. Cosper shared her wonderfully written message of personal loss and triumph in the Editor's Note of this month's issue.  Cosper's story was very touching, and she chose to share her story with the hope of giving encouragement to others facing tough personal and professional hardships during these trying days.
We all know no individual is immune to life's hardships and challenges, loss comes in many forms, but whether it comes at the blink of an eye or as an encroaching firestorm, as literally was the case for Amy, it is how we weather that storm both individually and collectively that defines us, and not the storm itself.  Though we'd have it that no one have adversity in life, it is through fire that gold is refined.

If you have opportunity, learn more about Amy and her story via September's issue of Entrepreneur magazine.

A far cry from your realism. Seriously, what is your preference if you could only do one or the other?

Definitely would be realism, hands down.
